The TRB has granted provisional toll rate adjustments for MCX pursuant to the Petitions for Approval of Periodic Toll Rate Adjustments for 2018 and 2020 filed by Ayala Corporation.
The TRB however directed that the provisional toll rate adjustments shall be implemented on a staggered basis to curb the existing inflationary situation and minimize the impact thereof to the tollway users. 1st Tranche, this year and the 2nd Tranche, next year.
The new toll rate adjustments could have been implemented as early as July 31, 2023 when TRB issued the Notice to Start Collection, but the new Toll Concessionaire of MCX, MCX Project Company, Inc., deferred the immediate implementation as a consideration to the tollway users/patrons of the MCX.
